Brand’s full-size flagship sedan has record sales in June
DUBAI – July 6, 2014: The 2014 Chevrolet Impala, the brand’s full-size flagship sedan, celebrated the completion of a successful first year in the Middle East by posting its best monthly sales in June.
Sales of the Impala across the region increased 62 percent from May. In addition, in the KSA, Chevrolet’s largest market in the Middle East, it jumped 90 percent – making June the model’s third consecutive month of growth.
Since its launch last July, demand for the Impala in the Middle East has also reached new highs every quarter. Sales soared 62 percent in the second quarter this year, after recording growth of 24 percent quarter on quarter in the previous two quarters.
The success of the Impala, the second-best-selling Chevrolet passenger car in the Middle East following the Malibu, is supporting the brand’s profitable growth. Sales of Chevrolet’s full-size sedans have jumped 52 percent over the past 12 months since the Impala entered the market. Almost half of Impala customers opt for the highest trim level – the LTZ version.
“The Impala is an example of everything that customers can expect from Chevrolet products,” said Ahmed Soudodi, Regional Brand Manager of Chevrolet and GMC, GM Middle East Operations. “With its expressive design, refined interior and advanced technologies, the Impala has raised the bar for customer value. We will continue to raise the bar in order to keep exceeding our customers’ expectation.”
The 2014 Impala represents the 10th generation of one of the industry’s most enduring and popular nameplates globally. It boasts a head-turning design, a spacious and refined interior, and advanced technologies. It features 10 standard air bags as well as a host of available safety technologies such as forward collision alert, lane departure warning, side blind zone alert and rear cross traffic alert. It also provides great connectivity through the highly customizable Chevrolet MyLink infotainment system.
The 2014 Impala received the Best Large Sedan Award at the Middle East Motor Awards last year. In the U.S., it earned the highest score in the Consumer Reports rating and was named one of the Kelley Blue Book’s 12 Best Family Cars last year.
